LSA Art Club students worked collaboratively to make this large scale light up hanging sculpture, out of recycled plastic bottles. The idea was to transform our disposable plastic into something beautiful, and to begin a conversation about waste, and the increasing problem with plastic pollution in our seas.
The sculpture is currently hanging on display in Mrs Moore's classroom (S10) but hopefully will be installed in the library next year. This piece is also the focus of an upcoming art exhibition based on the sea, to be held at Booths in Lytham in the autumn.
