Image of LSA duo takes 2nd place in WIRED 2013 Competition!

Last year, our Year 9 students were invited to participate in the WIRED 2013 Design an App competition,  a national competition open to 12 - 16 year olds throughout the UK. The students were asked to provide a definition and concept for their app with example screen designs illustrating the different interaction through buttons and menus. They also had to explain and justify the intended users of their app.

We are very proud to announce that current Year 10 students Sian Thompson and Alicia Holroyd took Second place for their "Clever Alarm" idea. This is an app designed to wake people up and make sure that they don't fall back to sleep by forcing them to carry out a specific task -- it could be taking a picture or working out a maths problem -- before the alarm will turn off.

They were invited to attend the WIRED 2013 conference in London and will receive a prize, courtesy of Maplin very soon!

Congratulations for such an achievement!
