Image of LSA success in the Rotary Club Young Chef Competition

On Wednesday 13th November, six year 10 pupils took part in the internal heats of the Rotary Club Young Chef Competition.   The entrants were, Ryan Bishop, Ellie Taylor, Eve Kirkman, Sam Cookson, Louise Gardner and Georgia Thornton.   The competition required each of the students to make a healthy three course meal for two people for under £15.

The pupils made a range of dishes, for example one of the starters was Carrot and Coriander Soup,  one of the mains being Salmon and New Potatoes with a Hollandaise Sauce and an example of the dessert was Strawberry Shortbread Stack.

The three winners, Ryan Bishop, Sam Cookson and Georgia Thornton will represent the high School in the local heats on November 28th at Carr Hill High School.  If one of them is successful they will then move forward to the next round of the national competition.  We wish them every success.
