Image of Art on Display

16 year old LSA student Sophie Gunston was highly commended, against stiff competition, and was awarded £50 worth of art vouchers for her painting of a duck pond.

She said ""Exhibiting at the' Drawn from youth 3' exhibition was a fascinating experience and I am honoured to have had the opportunity to take part. It was fantastic to see all the amazing art from different at students."

Naomi Carleton aged 17 ( Self Portrait in Rembrandt light) said

"I really enjoyed seeing my work displayed to the general public.

The third student was Josie Harrison who is now studying Art and Performing Arts at the University of Cumbria. She exhibited a triptych named 'Adapt and Breath' which was an exploration of personal identity.

Michael Lonsdale, Head of Art

"Its not often our students get the opportunity to exhibit work in public, so we are especially pleased to take part in such a major event, and for a student to be a prizewinner just topped it all off.  Our sincere thanks to members of the Fylde Decorative & Fine Arts Society for making such an event possible."
