A dream is coming true for 14 year old student, Kelsey Horridge.  An audition to recruit 100 young ballet dancers,( out of 200 hopefuls)  in the North West of England to perform in a professional production  of "Swan Lake" at Preston Charter Theatre on  April 5th and 6th resulted in a 'yes' for Kelsey. The audition itself was quite an experience as the young dancers took part in a 90 minute ballet class on stage with parents watching from the audience.

An all -rounder she started dancing at the tender age of four, is currently studying Grade 7 in ballet, has taken principal roles in pantomime and musicals,  is a keen gymnast who represented the North West in the British School Gymnastics Finals in 2009,  and is in the school gymnastic team.  Add to this Skate UK level 10 , a distinction in singing and plays the saxophone   She has managed to be in the winning team for the National F1 School Challenge 2010-2011 when the prize was a trip to Silverstone to meet Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button! At present she is working towards her Bronze Duke of Edinburgh at LSA.

Kelsey said "I am so thrilled to be chosen.  To work alongside professional international principal artists and to be coached by members of one of the largest companies in the UK is amazing.  I will be performing one performance on the 5th April which is my Nana's 80th birthday which was one of the reasons I auditioned.  She will love it. Then on the 6th April we have two performances."
