Image of Welcoming wildlife with a 'Bug Hotel' at LSA

On Tuesday a group of Year 7 students along with staff from the Science Department built a 'Bug Hotel' on Tuesday from materials such as wooden pallets, sticks, bricks with holes, straw/dry grass and old terracotta pots. Students also did some wild flower seed planting and cleared the vegetable patch. As we progress forward with this project we are hoping to continue the development of the ECO area and create a pathway through the trees so students can explore the ecology of a woodland area and study some of the species.

If you would like to build a 'Bug Hotel' in your own garden, please visit the RSPB website.
