Congratulations to 27 students from Y11 and Y10 who completed their Silver Duke of Edinburgh expeditions in the Lake District this month. Thankfully there was a slightly lull in between episodes of the ‘Beast from the East’, but the conditions were still very challenging and the students were a credit to the school. The students carried all their equipment and provisions for the three day expedition and survived two windy and cold nights under canvas. The team of Mountain Guides who assessed our students commented on how positive, resilient and mutually support our students were despite the conditions.
