Image of Fantastic News for George Fox!
George has been asked to represent Great Britain at the forthcoming junior world IWAS games in Holland in July. This is a massive opportunity for George and a very prestigious event in Disabled athletics. George will be competing in the 100 and 200metre sprints wearing a GB vest! His family course be going to support him and are very excited about it.

In addition to this he has also been asked to compete in the CP world competition in Nottingham in August where he will represent England at international level and will be staying in the Athletes village with athletes from around the world! Needless to say George is very excited about all this, but his usual modest self and isn't really telling anyone about it!

At the weekend George also took part in his first International event at Bedford International Games, where he rubbed shoulders with the likes of sprinter Adam Gemili who ran his first sub 10 second 100m sprint (see here for the news article on BBC), unfortunatley it was not a "legal" run as it was wind assisted, but nontheless a great achievement. George also met the famous Paralympian, Johnny Peacock, who was also competing.

George ran in the 100m and 200m and achieved his season's best in both races. A fantastic opportunity and experience for George.
