Image of Connecting LSA to the World

This week we had the pleasure of welcoming our partner school B/Vishaka Girls High School in Badulla, Sri Lanka. Miss Lakshi visited different lessons teaching about her school and country as well as working on our partnership activities that enable both of us to receive the International School Award. The project is funded though the British Council and provides the opportunity for teachers from outside of Europe to visit their partner school and experience life in another school and country.
Miss Lakshi shared some of her country's vibrant culture through lessons in poetry, language, cookery and design.

Sandra Underwood, School Link Coordinator, said "Here at LSA we pride ourselves in our international links and how students embrace global learning especially when we welcome visitors from afar into our school and classrooms. The experience for both staff and students is always a memorable one."

Lakshi said about her visit, "I felt so welcome as everyone is very hospitable, especially the students who were very interested in Sri Lanka and my school. I really enjoyed my visit to LSA and look forward to a continued partnership."
