Image of LSA in partnership with St Anne's Town Council

The town council has started work producing a Neighbourhood Plan for the St Anne's area. The purpose of the plan is to create a shared vision for the neighbourhood, have a voice on what new buildings might look like and identify and protect the importance of local green spaces.

The aim of the competition was to increase the awareness of the plan amongst young people during its consultation phase and take on board their perspectives and views on the local environment. Hopefully encouraging a debate as to how the plan might impact positively for young people.

The design brief was to photograph local spaces, but include something surreal to challenge established familiarity and offer possibilities for change.

The council is displaying an exhibition of the finished photographs in St Anne's Town Hall until 31st July.

Two year 12 students. Anna Jackson 12 CJA and Chloe Apps 12 CJA were chosen for special commendation and each received a certificate of gratitude from the Mayor.

Well done! We are very proud of both of you and your achievment.
