Image of Author Ross Montgomery Visits LSA

What happens when an author meets a hundred young readers? Some year seven students and their English teachers had the chance to find out last Tuesday when an exciting new author, Ross Montgomery, visited LSATPAC, as part of a hectic tour to promote his new book.

About 100 students packed themselves into the library to hear Ross read a short excerpt from his latest book, ‘The Tornado Chasers’. Ross went on to talk about his books, the way he finds his ideas and how they evolve into his finished stories. He gave the students a glimpse of his life as an author and then went on to answer questions and advise students who want careers as writers.

After the question and answer session the students were given the opportunity to buy copies of Ross’s books ‘Alex, the Dog and the Unopenable Door’ and ‘The Tornado Chasers’, which he signed on the day.

Thanks to Faber, Storytellers Inc., the teachers who brought their students and, of course, Ross Montgomery for a great event.
