Image of F1 Team Heads to Birmingham

As previously reported, Four year 9’s and one year 8 student teamed “Yin and Yang” were chosen to Represent the North West Region at the Birmingham UK National F1 in Schools Finals in the Blood Hound Class.

The students travelled to NEC Birmingham to compete against schools from all over the British Isles.  They shared the three day event with a team of sixth form students who competed over two days.

Friday was a day off for Yin and Yang and so they headed to the centre of Birmingham for a day of culture on a budget! The students participated in events such as a personal guidend tour of the cathedral, a visit to the BBC studios, touring a museum and art gallery and a sail on a barge down the canal!

The trip, sponsored by LSA Technology and Performing Arts College and Rotary International (with a special thanks to Graham Crossley), allowed the students this fantastic opportunity- in fact the total cost came to only £2.50!

We hope that you enjoy our display and photographs of a very memorable trip!
