Anti-Bullying Week Competition 2013
Two of our Year 10 Anti-Bullying Ambassadors from Holmes College, Shahsin Sood and James Houston organised a competition to raise awareness of bullying, especially cyber bullying, and its effects. They arranged with the IT department for publicity about the competition to appear on every student’s desktop every time they logged in. First prize was a fabulous HP tablet and case, and the runner up prize was a £10 ‘Love to Shop’ voucher.
Many entries were submitted from all year groups and colleges: pictures, posters, a cartoon strip and poems and even a short film made by year 7 and 8 students.
The winning entry was by Jake Lord 11SPE (Lennon College).
The runner up was Alex Jones 7GTR (Curie College). 
A special prize was awarded to the director of the film: Jennifer Anderson 7BHO (Lennon College) and her team – Owen Melling 7BHO (Lennon); Amy Wiseman 7GTR (Curie); Leah Scott 8JCU (Holmes); Ellie Walden 7LGL (KING).
