Once again LSA students  played host to 31 students from Gymnasium St.Christophorus School  in St.Annes twin town,Werne  for a week's vacation.   As part of the exchange the German and English students involved visited the Lake District and Blackpool Tower. The visitors also had trips to the Lancashire Museum and Liverpool Docks and Cathedral and enjoyed a  town tour of St.Annes conducted by Councillor Tony Ford.  St.Annes Twinning Association organised a Quiz Night to round off the visit.

In school,  groups of LSA Years 7,8 and 9 students were treated to German lessons by the native speakers which included poems and songs.  On the sports field the visitors and their hosts played rounders and football whilst on the art front they created a joint logo to commemorate the St.Annes/Werne exchange.
