Year 11 students have been finding new and insightful ways to practice their oral controlled assessment skills along with revising important texts. As part of their GCSE they have to perform three oral tasks, this particular one focusing on group work, and what better way to get them to use their voices and creativity than to set up a courtroom drama around John Steinbach’s novella Of Mice and Men. The students fully embraced the task- and their roles- setting the scene of the courtroom and acting out their individual parts superbly!
In addition to honing their oral skills, by using the text Of Mice and Men, the students were revising the book in preparation of their upcoming exams.
Well done to all involved!
