Elise Sanderson, Year 7 pupil at LSA, was presented with the 'Hero for Fylde' award last night at The Radio Wave Hero Awards 2016 . The ceremony took place at Viva Blackpool.
Elise won this award for her inspirational efforts as a young carer for her mum. Elise's mum suffers from EDS Syndrome which means her joints can come out place at any time. Elise is in charge of her mum's medication and bandages and sometimes has to put her joints back into place during the night. Elise continues to perform well at school and remain positive despite her responsibilities at home.
There were 200 nominations in this category and Elise had been shortlisted into the top 3. She was presented her award on stage at the celebration. Her family and everyone at LSA are so proud of her.
