Image of ERIC Reading Competition Winner!

Scarlett Lord in Year 11 is our winner for our ERIC time poster competition. Students were challenged to create a design promoting ERIC time: Everyone Reading in Class. This new initiative takes place with form tutors on Fridays and the whole school takes some time to read and look at all things bookish.

The energy in Scarlett's design is a great reflection of the huge amount of time and effort our students spend on their reading both in and out of the classroom. She was awarded an e-Reader by College Head Mrs. Mason for her winning design.

What is ERIC all about?

  • Time to read books and talk about the books we're reading.
  • Time to celebrate Accelerated Reader progress.
  • Promote the best new books published.
  • Share information about all other reading developments.
  • Introduce short topical and newsworthy items for shared reading and discussion.
  • Update students on new books arriving to the Library.

Watch this space. ERIC time is here to develop and celebrate the Art of Reading.
