The PTFA have several and varied events coming up in the next few weeks which all promise to be a great night out!!
Take your pick or come along to all of them and help support school fund raising. We are currently (amongst other things) raising funds for the PE department to help with the purchase of new team kits. Recently we have contributed to the purchase of sheet music for the music department, a trip for Sixth Form student, Hal Meakin, to go to Westminster on a wonderful work experience opportunity with local MP Mark Menzies, and, most recently, we have acquired a new catering van exclusively paid for with funds raised by the PTFA (watch this space!)
The first of our scheduled events is a Mother's Day Shopping Night on 3rd March, 7-9pm at school. There will be bespoke stalls selling various gifts and keepsakes such as cards, plants (Leafy Lytham run by ex High School pupil Greg Anderton, will be back by popular demand - his spring planters always make a great Mother's day gift, but sell out really quickly so don't dilly dally), Body shop products, art products, wine charms, coffee and coffee paraphernalia(Lytham Coffee - who supply to several coffee shops locally in Lytham and other areas) and many more. There will also be a cake stall (always popular) and Tombola prizes.Entry is only 50p Please come along and enjoy a shopping evening with friends and hopefully grab a bargain for Mum too! This is an exclusive ticket only evening where the Ladies' and Men's fashion floors are openend up to ticket holders and exclusive discount is available on the evening. There will be fashion displays and advise, make up demonstrations, fabulous raffle prizes donated by Stringers and a goodie bag for all - not to mention a glass of bubbles on arrival!! Tickets are only £10 and are available from Michelle on 07985207912. Why not bring a friend along, have a shop and then finish off the evening around the bars/restaurants in Lytham - fabulous!
Thirdly, plans are now well underway for our spectacular Midsummer Ball to be held at the Clifton Arms Hotel in Lytham on Friday July 3rd. This ticket only event promises to round the year off with a bang! Internationally renowned showband STORM have been secured, musical accompaniment of various kinds will entertain and dazzle you throughout the evening, there will be a drinks' reception on arrival and a delicious 3 course meal is all included in the very reasonable price of £35. Various opportunities to win some fabulous prizes (including diamond earrings) will be available throughout the evening and the opportunity to dance the night away in fabulous surroundings.
