Image of London Calling!

LSA Students were given the opportunity to see and experience London in a whirlwind tour! Setting off at 6.30 am on 18th Dec 73 pupils from all year groups began their 2 day adventure…

After a long coach journey (and several renditions of Frozen) they reached their destination and hit the sights! Starting at The Science Museum, the group met up with a tour guide and had a 3 hour guided tour of the sights- learning about the history of London along the way. Points of interest included:

Buckingham Palace, Whitehall,Trafalgar Square, Green Park, Tower Bridge, Pudding lane, Whitechapel, HMS Belfast, Hyde Park, Marble Arch, Oxford Street, Fleet Street, Royal Courts of Justice, Somerset House, The Ritz, The Savoy, City Hall, Westminster, Houses of Parliament, and even some of the Paddington Bear trail!!

They then went to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at Royal Theatre Drury Lane which was fabulous!

Day 2 we visited BBC media centre and had a full guided tour where our pupils took part in radio broadcasts, reading the news and weather and visiting The One Show studio amongst some of the activities. The final day ended with a

tour of Regent Street, Carnaby Street and Hamleys before returning home! Phew!

The pupils were amazing throughout the trip and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it!!
