Image of Year 7 and 8 Community Art Project on Display!

Our Y7 & Y8 classes have recently participated in a Community Art Project in aid of Furry Tails Feline Welfare Cat Sanctuary. The project has allowed students to express their support for the orphan cats through this artistic endeavour, which has reaped outstanding results and surpassed all expectations. The enthusiasm and vigour, which each student exhibited in response to the task, is evident and can be seen within each drawing due to the superb quality and attention to detail. Each completed piece of work stemmed from an initial individual interpretation, the theme of cardboard-box cats being a popular way to depict the now rescued felines at Furry Tails. The task of drawing rescue cats began as a simple every-day piece of homework but soon became an activity which more students were eager to try their hand at. Over 80 entries have been submitted in total, their art teacher, Miss Adamko, said: ‘I'm extremely proud of all my year 7 and 8 students who showed such enthusiasm to join in and support this cause.’ Overall, the entries have proven to be a tribute to all the hard work that goes on at Furry Tails.

The display can be seen in Pets at Home, Blackpool, until Sunday and may possibly remain until the 21st of December. After this, it will move down to 22 Garden St, St Annes to be viewed in The Furry Tails Charity Shop Window.
