Ten students took part in our first ever French visit to France outside of Comenius. The students spent 6 days visiting our partner school and surrounding areas. They had a fantastic time having spent one of the days in school participating in joint activities and making friends. The students had the opportunity to stay with host families who shared the best of French culture and e students were able to practise some French! Though there was not a language requirement to go on the trip, the students did feel as through their French had improved. Katie a year 7 pupil said "I remembered a lot from my French lessons and tried to use as much as I could but I also learned some too!" "It was really fun and I enjoyed experiencing the culture, I would definitely go back again. Staying with my host family was great and I still keep in touch with her."
Sandra underwood, School Link Coordinator and leader of the trip said that "this trip wasthe first of its kind as we kept or link with College Notre Dame in Bressuire and I wanted the students to do more than just visit parts of France. ti wanted them to immerse in the culture even if its just for a week because the memories, friendships and experience of living with a French family and attending school will stay with them forever".
