Lytham St Annes High School – ‘A Learning Community in Pursuit of Excellence’

Are you looking to make a real difference to children’s lives?  Are you ready to be part of their success?  Do you want to take the next exciting step in your career? If you want to work at a “good” school with great students and committed staff, then Lytham St Annes High School is the place for you.

This post offers a great opportunity for all English teachers who are either at the start of their career or who are looking to further develop their teaching skills. We are seeking a well-qualified, enthusiastic, inspiring professional to join our school.

We will look to you to create lesson plans which are engaging, and which allow each child to make progress. In return, you will be given support so that you can be the very best teacher possible.  The support you receive will be from a cohesive, creative, and committed team whose aim is to maintain high standards and high expectations in a well-resourced faculty. We have recently undergone building developments integrating brand new state of the art buildings and facilities with our legacy buildings. This has created inspiring workspaces for you to deliver inspiring lessons.

At LSA, teaching and learning is at the centre of everything we do.  We are committed to developing the whole child and to this end, there is a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities to get involved in.  So, if you are a teacher committed to developing your skills and providing an exceptional learning experience for the students in your care, then we look forward to receiving a completed application from you.

Why Join Us?
At LSA we understand the importance of work-life balance and are committed to supporting our staff through flexible working opportunities. We prioritise staff wellbeing and retention, recognizing that flexibility enhances job satisfaction and promotes a positive work environment. We encourage all potential candidates to discuss their flexible working needs with us during the application process.

These are exciting times for the school as we have recently become a founding member of The Coastal Collaborative Trust.

Please take time to look at our website which will give a flavour of our ethos and culture and will demonstrate that we care about each and every child that forms part of our community, and about every member of staff; it is this ethos that makes us ‘a learning community in pursuit of excellence’.

Lytham St Annes High School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  The successful applicant will be required to undertake and maintain an enhanced DBS check.

Please note that in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2024 an online search will be carried out as part of our due diligence on shortlisted candidates.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974; therefore, applicants must disclose all spent and unspent convictions, cautions, and reprimands, subject to the relevant filtering rules.
