5 February 2021
As you may be aware, this week is Children’s Mental Health Week with a focus on ‘Express Yourself’.
This is about finding creative ways to share your thoughts, feelings and ideas.
Doing something creative is brilliant for our emotional wellbeing as it relieves stress, gives us a sense of satisfaction, makes us take a break from our daily lives and can be really fun!
Being creative could include:
- Baking or cooking a different meal.
- Paint, drawing or colouring.
- Sewing, knitting or designing something.
- Planning a new route to walk.
- Learning to play an instrument.
- Singing a song.
- Writing a poem.
- Playing a game.
- Reading a story.
