The LSA House System
At Lytham St Annes High School, our House System plays a vital role in school life — building a sense of identity, belonging, and healthy competition among students.

What is the House System?
Every student at LSA is placed into one of our six houses, each named after an Ancient Greek god or goddess. These houses provide students with a smaller "family" within the school, helping them feel connected, supported, and part of a community.

Once allocated, your child will remain in the same house throughout their five years at LSA (provided they stay in the same form). Their house becomes a key part of their school journey — from competitions and celebrations to teamwork and pride.

Each house is inspired by the strengths and symbols of ancient mythology:

Athena – Goddess of wisdom and strategy

Apollo – God of music and the arts

Artemis – Goddess of the hunt and nature

Prometheus – Titan of fire and foresight

Demeter – Goddess of growth and nurture

Hermes – God of travel and communication

Each house has a unique flag, colours, and values that represent its identity.

Students can earn house points throughout the year by:

Taking part in competitions like:
