On Thursday 18th January, URPotential are going to visit school to promote their LGBT groups and the LGBT festival happening in February. Students will get the opportunity to meet and talk to URPotential in the Library 12:30 - 2:10pm which might help some students to feel more at ease with joining this support network. The event is suitable for all students not just our LGBT community.
The groups support LGBT young people who may be seeking support with their sexuality or gender identification and want to meet and learn from other young people in a similar situation to themselves. They also offer one to one support for young people who may want to access them. The LGBT youth festival is for LGBT young people aged 13-18 and provides workshops around LGBT issues and stress relief techniques, entertainment, food and a question panel of professionals for the young people.
