5 September 2015
2015 marks the 60th Anniversary of the opening of Lytham St Anne's High School, so we're celebrating!
Ansdell Secondary Modern School, now Lytham St Annes Technology and Performing Arts College, the biggest school in Fylde, opened its doors on September 8, 1955 under headmaster Mr A H Hall.
Former students Margaret Quinley (formerly Melling) and Gil Freestone (formerly Teakle) are organising a reunion on Saturday 5th September and want to hear from any students who were there between 1955 and 1960.
“It will be an opportunity to renew old relationships and remember those formative years, with some familiar faces and no doubt lots of reminiscences and laughs.
“As numbers are limited, we felt attendance should be restricted to those people who started at the school in the first five years but dependent on the response it might be opened up to subsequent years.”
For more information, and if you're interested in taking part, don't hesitate to get in contact with Gill at gillyfree@googlemail.com or Margaret on (01253) 723993.
We welcome you to bring along any memorablia or photographs from your time at school so we can all re-live the memories.
