Year 11 Mock Interviews: A Morning of Confidence and Professionalism

This morning, our Year 11 students took part in our annual Mock Interview event, gaining valuable first-hand experience of the recruitment process as they prepare for life beyond school.

We were delighted to welcome over 35 professionals from 29 different companies and organisations, representing a wide range of industries. Their time, expertise and constructive feedback helped to create an authentic interview experience for every student.

Professionals in attendance included representatives from AFC Fylde, Dudley Industries, The Small Business Academy, TGM, Leafy Lytham, and Forbes Solicitors, among many others. The breadth of sectors represented gave students a real insight into the expectations of employers across the professional community.

Feedback from interviewers was overwhelmingly positive. Many commented on how confident, articulate and well prepared our Year 11 students were, highlighting their professionalism and positive attitudes throughout the morning. Students approached the experience with maturity and resilience, stepping outside of their comfort zones and embracing the opportunity to develop key employability skills.

Mock Interviews form an important part of our careers programme, helping students to refine their communication skills, practise interview techniques and receive personalised feedback that will support them in future college, apprenticeship and employment applications.
