Image of Online Safety Ambassadors Lead the Way for Safer Internet Day

As part of Safer Internet Day and Children’s Mental Health Week, our Online Safety Ambassadors took centre stage in the main hall to deliver an engaging and interactive event for students across all year groups.

Throughout the day, students took part in a range of activities designed to raise awareness about staying safe online. One of the most popular challenges was the “Guess the Number” activity, where students had to estimate how many people are affected by online scams. The closest guesses won prizes, sparking important conversations about the scale and impact of online fraud.

Students also tested their knowledge in a fast-paced True or False challenge, aiming to get ten correct answers in a row about online safety, privacy, and digital responsibility. The activity encouraged critical thinking and helped students separate fact from fiction when navigating the online world.

Our ambassadors organised the event themselves, prepared resources, spoke confidently to their peers, and ensured the hall ran smoothly throughout the day. Their teamwork, professionalism, and enthusiasm were clear to see.

A huge well done to our Online Safety Ambassadors for leading such an impactful event and helping to promote a safer, more informed digital community within school.
