Our Student Digital Leaders presented 'Digital Week' (9th - 13th July) which highlighted the exciting and innovative ways of embracing technology inside the class room!
On Thursday 5th July 40 students from Years 7 and 8 left for a trip to the Opal Coast in Northern France.
On Thursday 12th July a group of Year 8 students, along with Miss Hindle, Dr Bracken, Ms Armistead and Miss Young, went to Blackpool Zoo to look at adaptions and classification.
A few Year 7 students took part part in the Blackpool Maths Challenge at Highfield Leadership Academy. They performed amazingly well winning the competition.
Last night the Music Department was delighted to welcome students, two local feeder primary schools, families, governors and members of staff to LSA's Summer Concert.
A level Art and Design has been a very popular course at Lytham Sixth Form since it was first introduced in the early 1980's. We wish all our students past and present every success!
We will be running a Reading Festival on Tuesday 12th February 2019, involving ourselves, Saint Bedes and Carr Hill with a number of authors putting on workshops and talks throughout the day.
Various activities take place throughout the academic year which helps to support Year 6s in their transition to LSA and our Year 6 Induction Day on Monday was an excellent example.
The PTFA recently hosted their 6th consecutive spectacular Summer Ball at the Clifton Arms Hotel in Lytham.
Today students met the shortlisted authors at a major event, brilliantly organised by Lancashire Libraries. Our students enjoyed the experience immensely.
This week our Year 10s went on their Geography Fieldwork trip to investigate the opportunities of Urban regeneration in Blackpool and investigating the effectiveness of coastal defences at Cleveleys.
The PE Department have appointed ‘Sports Leaders’ who have given up their own time on a regular basis to ensure that other students can participate, develop their skills and enjoy sport safely.
