We are planning on taking LSA students on a visit to Austria in April 2025. This visit will give your child the opportunity to learn how to ski, improve on their current ability or challenge themselves for the more advanced skiers. The visit caters for all abilities of students in Y7- Y11, however places are limited and are given on a first come first served basis. Students’ behaviour record will be taken into consideration before the deposit is accepted. All students will be expected to have a good level of fitness to ski. This is a physically demanding visit and we wish for your child to be fit enough to enjoy and deal with the physical demands of what is a challenging week.
All students must have a valid UK passport with six months validity remaining after the end of the visit. If a non-UK passport is held then it is your responsibility to ensure that a valid visa is in place if required. Countries to be visited whilst in transit may include UK, Austria, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, and France. Whilst a group insurance policy will be in place, it is strongly advised that all participants also carry a GHIC Health Card. Available on the GOV website.
Students’ behaviour and conduct throughout the school year will be taken into consideration and may result in them being removed from the visit with the possibility of no refund given. The final decision on this will be at the discretion of the head teacher.
The arrangements for the visit are as follows: The proposed dates for the visit are departing Friday 11th – Saturday 19th April 2025, staying, Zell am See, Austria. The cost for 2025 is £1650 and will include: • Full Board • Travel in a luxury coach • Lift pass, ski equipment, ski instruction, insurance. • Evening entertainment • A tour hoodie [not included – spending money, meal en route and clothing]
A non-refundable deposit of £250 will secure your child a place via Parentpay. Subsequent payments are as follows via Parentpay. This instalment schedule shows deadlines for payment instalments, however you can pay other amounts during the time period as long as it is paid in full by each instalment date. For example you could pay £50 in July if you wish. • £250 Deposit to secure place • £300 by the end of June 2024 • £300 by the end of September 2024 • £250 by the end of October 2024 • £300 by the end of November 2024 • £250 by the end of February 2025
Cancellation charges will apply as follows: • £400 in total up to September 2024 • £800 in total up to November 2024 • £1100 in total up to February 2025 If you wish your child to participate in our winter sports visit 2025, please complete the permission slip and return to Miss Gibbons.
