10 July 2018

We will be running a Reading Festival on Tuesday 12th February 2019, involving ourselves, Saint Bedes and Carr Hill with a number of authors putting on workshops and talks throughout the day.

We are running a range of competitions to give students a chance to win a ticket to the festival. The first competition was to write a 500 word story which will be judged between the schools, today one Year 8 class judged the Saint Bede's entries for the story competition.

Congratulations to Isaac Chapman and Connor Robson whose short stories were chosen by Carr Hill as the winners of the short story competition. They will win a ticket to the festival next year. Congratulations!

The second competition is a summer reading challenge where students will have an opportunity to complete bingo cards based on different genres of books.

Get reading!
