Image of Digital Week at LSA!

Our Student Digital Leaders presented 'Digital Week' (9th - 13th July) which highlighted the exciting and innovative ways of embracing technology inside the class room! The team organised lots of fantastic events throughout the week during lunchtime:

Monday's Activity

Guitar Hero was set up in the Assembly Hall and student took it in turns to 'rock out!'.

Tuesday's Activity

Several demonstration and workshops were set up in the library which included Mircobits, Rasberry Pi, Astro Pi, 3D Printers and CAD. Student were even give wireless headphones to have a silent disco!

Wednesday's Activity 

On Wednesday students took a trip to the International Space Station using Virtual Reality headsets which connected to an educational Virtual Reality app on their phone. They also traveled to places of cultural interest in the world and even under the sea!

Thursday's Activity

Further demonstration were set up in the library which included Mircobits, Rasberry Pi, Astro Pi, 3D Printers and CAD.

Friday's Activity

On Friday a guest speaker from Valtech visited LSA to talk about the digital industry and potential career opportunities. Then at lunchtime Guitar Hero was set up in the Assembly Hall for one final time.

 

Some teachers used digital technology in class to provide an engaging method of learning, in Mrs Aspen's English class they played Kahoot to test their knowledge of the play they have been reading, 'Our Day Out'.
