Image of Young Jewellery Designer of the Year

A number of talented students at LSA entered into the Fylde Young Jewellery Designer of the Year competition which is organised by Claytons Jewellers in Blackpool and St Annes. They were given the challenge to design a bespoke piece of jewellery in the form of a pendant, bangle or ring on a single piece of paper no larger than A3. On Monday 19th March Tessa Mills, a representative from Claytons, came into talk to our competition finalists about their designs, finding out about the student's inspiration and why they made the artisitic choices they did.

Beth said "I really enjoyed doing my jewellery designs because I got to show everyone how creative I can be and show my artisitc style

The Prizes

 The winner’s design will be hand crafted by a Claytons bespoke jewellery designer before being worn for the first time by The Mayor of St Annes (Karen Henshaw) at a public function.

 The winning design will then be auctioned for charity for St George’s Day celebrations on April 23rd. 

 x 2 five-day passes for The Lytham Festival

 The winner will recieve their own replica of the winning design
