The LSA PTFA have presented the school library with an amazing donation of £10,000. This has been raised through a variety of events such as the 2016 Summer Ball, Chocolate Evening, A Christmas shopping event at Stringers and a fun run; along with other events and collections.

This isn’t the first time the PTFA have helped with the ongoing refurbishment of the library, their previous donation helped to buy new flooring and lighting which is now in place.

The ultimate goal is for the library to become a space which students can use to enhance their learning outside of lessons. This is going to be achieved through a ‘make/present/reflect’ layout. There will also be a silent study area which will be used for focused homework and revision time.

Other fundraising has taken place over the past year, particularly within the different colleges which has already been used to ensure that every child is benefited by the library refurbishment project.
