Ex LSA pupil George Fox recently competed in his GB vest at the European Championships in Amsterdam.

George ran the race of his career so far in front of a packed stadium of 20,000 with cameras recording from over 30 countries across Europe and shown in the UK on Eurochannel. George competed in the 100ms against top ranking athletes from Europe in his classification (T37) to finish a very decent 4th and in a personal best time of 12.61.

This puts George as the second fastest T37 in the UK and moves him up the world rankings to 12. When asked how he felt about his race he said" I'm so happy with the race. I've loved my experience at these championships and the crowd really helped keep me focus and go as fast as I could." George is off to study at UCLAN in September, but hopes to keep up with his training and continue to get faster each season.

He is currently working towards competing at the London Championships in 2017 and ultimately hopes to make it to Tokyo in 2020.
