Congratulations to two of our students who bagged top and runner up awards in the recent AllStars Awards Ceremony 2012, run jointly by Blackpool Gazette and Blackpool Sixth Form College.
Netball star, Jody Rose came top in her category out of all students across the Fylde Coast. She recently achieved a Gold Award for the 'Step into Sport programme completing 400 hours of coaching, officiating, organising and leading young students. She is a fantastic role model who has played netball to a high standard. She has also gained her level 1 umpire badge. Her effort in improving standards of netball has been outstanding and this year she has overseen practice sessions for Years 7,8 9 and 10. She never complains and is happy to help out in all weathers. Jody has shown outstanding commitment to her sport and to helping others. Staff say she is like an additional PE teacher!!
Icing on the cake was when her colleague, Rosie Coe, Year 9, also a keen netball player, came second in the 'unsung hero award category. Another accolade for LSA.
Well done to both girls for their outstanding achievement and contribution to sport at LSA.
