During the summer break Luke Rawcliffe, a year 8 student, was lucky enough to be selected to represent the North West Region at the British Triathlon Championships hosted at Mallory Park in Leicester which was an amazing experience.

In addition to this he has also been selected to represent Great Britain in Biathle which is part of the Modern Pentathlon in the forthcoming World Championships which take place in Viveiro in Northern Spain.  The Biathle is a continuous 400m Run, 50m Swim, 400m Run which is in openwater. Luke qualified for this event on 2nd August by achieving a silver medal at the National Biathle Championship's hosted at Salford Quays.
 
The World Championships took place from 20th September through to 24th, Luke competed in the GB Team Relays on Thursday 21st and the individual event on Sunday 24th. This was an amazing opportunity for Luke to represent Great Britain and we are proud of his achievements!
