24 August 2017

The hard work of our Y11 students has paid off as they all celebrated a fantastic set of GCSE results this morning.

The overall pass rate was 99.64%.

Headteacher, Mr P Wood said "I would like to pass on my congratulations to year 11 students for their wonderful achievements in summer exams. No one should underestimate just how difficult the new exams in English and Mathematics have been this year and the hard work and determination of students has been rewarded by excellent results. I also want to thank the teachers who have worked so hard to support our students and to prepare them for their exams.  I am absolutely delighted with the results."

A special mention must go to Hannah Riley who acheived the highest grades possible in all the subjects she studied; 3 9s and 7 A*s.

Aimee Whitehead and Emma Jeffery also both gained grade 9s in English and Maths which puts them in the very highest percentage of students across the whole country.

Other high acheivers included Lydia Beck, Izzy Durose, Emily Gardner, Jasmine Heaps, Abbie Horberry, Sam Houston, Heidi Pearson, Charlotte Readhead, Matthew Rowe, Finn Thompson and Sophie Wallbank to name a few.

We wish all the students the very best of luck in their future studies or work placements.
